    Breeza

    , NSW

    Breeza
Tiny township between Quirindi and Gunnedah
Breeza is a tiny and rather rundown little farming settlement of about 25 people halfway between Quirindi and Gunnedah and 393 km north of Sydney. Surrounded by vast pasture lands it is also a wheat-receiving rail centre.

It has often been argued that notorious bushranger Ben Hall was born at Breeza station although there is no evidence to support the argument. Nonetheless there is a Ben Hall wall with a mural at the roadside rest area/picnic spot.

Another noted bushranger, 'Thunderbolt' (alias Fred Ward) robbed a Mr Matthews on the Breeza Plain in 1865.
